The IOM³ seeks to protect user's privacy, with this document detailing our policy on the use of candidates personal data. The privacy policy may be updated from time to time.
When you register with the 'Careers Development Service' (CDS) to use the 'CDS' website, we will record your name, address, telephone number, email address, education, career history, present and preferred location, type of job sought and all other details on your curriculum vitae ("CV") - All as submitted by you.
Candidates' details are held on a secure server and are confidential, accessible only by registered and approved users.
Changes to a candidate's record can be made only by the candidate.
'CDS' will not use candidates information for any purpose other than providing 'CDS' services to users.
Your basic 'profile' information, contact details and CV will be accessible to registered third parties who search our database for candidates to fill vacant positions. These third parties may be prospective employers or recruitment/employment agencies. It will also be available to a small number of duly authorised IOM³ Staff involved with the Careers Development Service.
We may email you from time to time with items which we believe may be of interest to you such as information updates, news or promotional material.
Any third party who registers to use the website services and accesses your profile information and your CV through the database.
Any third party who receives your profile information and your CV from the CDS in order to place you in employment.
A small number of duly authorised IOM³ Staff involved with the Careers Development Service.
Candidates have the option to remain anonymous to potential employers.
Candidates should be fully aware that unless they choose to remain anonymous, their name, contact details and CV will all be accessible to third parties registered with the CDS.
By registering with the site candidates are agreeing to allow potential employers to contact them by email.
If Candidates choose to remain anonymous then only their profile will be accessible, with their permission being sought before releasing contact details and CV to any particular prospective employer.
A copy of a candidate's CV may be retained by any third party in their own files or databases, and circulated to other people within their organisation. We are not responsible for the use or privacy of the contents of your CV in such instances.
We do not sell or rent out our database of personal information.
Candidates must keep their passwords secret.
Candidates acknowledge that they are wholly responsible for all use of the CDS website when accessed by their password, and any use of the CDS website when accessed by any such password is conclusively deemed to be authorised by the candidate.
Candidates may terminate or suspend their registration at any time and are required to suspend their registration when no longer job-hunting.
Candidates wishing to renew their registration should note that their details are held on the database for up to one year after expiry/suspension. The details will no longer be available to potential employers during this time. A candidate who does not wish their details to remain on the database should contact the CDS on the expiry/suspension of their registration.
Personal information comprising your CV may be accessed by, or passed to, third parties outside the UK and/or outside the Economic European Area ("EEA").
By registering and using the website, you consent to this transfer.
