Employers can view a list of all members on the Careers Development Service database, or they can search by each, or a combination, of the following search criteria:
If you choose not to state your current situation or preferences under one of these criteria, you will not appear in an employer search for this criteria. For example, if you have not stated your current or preferred work function, you will not appear in an employer search according to a specific work function.
Employers can also search by free text - this will include your address, comments and CV. The content of your CV is particularly important for this reason, and a template is provided for your use, incorporating a list of key words which will help employers to match their technical requirements.
Employers have detailed instructions on how to search for candidates to match their vacancy.
In many cases, an assisted search will be performed on an employer's behalf by CDS administrative staff.
If you choose to remain anonymous, employers will contact you via an email box address at the IOM³. Email messages will be forwarded directly to a personal email address provided by you. If an employer wants to contact you urgently by phone, the IOM³ will contact you first and either pass on the employer's details to you or your details to the employer.
